Judy Steers - Director

Judy has been the director of Ask & Imagine since it began in 1999. She is a professional Anglican lay worker in youth ministry, educational ministries, consulting, and leadership formation. She also works part-time as the Coordinator for Youth Initiatives for the Anglican Church of Canada, and has been an adjunct professor of Christian Education in the Faculty of Theology at Huron.

Judy spent many years as a member of a community of L'Arche. She has a BA in psychology/theology and is a graduate of the Centre for Christian Studies.

Judy's previous work experiences in the field of engineering and science have nourished a passion for engaging the dialogue between science and theology, and she teaches this exploratory group at Ask & Imagine, as well as community and leadership. In her home parish she is a Godly Play story-teller in the children's ministry program.

Jenny Salisbury - Assistant Director

Jenny attended the first Pilgrimage program in May 2005. She became a mentor for the High School program in 2006, and a guest speaker in 2007. During that time she completed an Honours B.A in theatre from the University of Toronto and Sheridan College, and then a M.A. in theatre from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and the University of London, England. She came onboard as Assistant Director in time for the August program of 2008.

Jenny works in an urban parish as coordinator for youth ministry. She continues to work in theatre as a director and playwright. She is an active member of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto and PWRDF. She continues to study and write about the intersection of faith and performance - looking closely at ritual, storytelling, and community.
